Roofing Bid Comparison Scorecard

Enter up to three proposals and score scope, layers, ventilation, communication, schedule and fit with your own weights.

These tools give planning-level estimates from typical values and the details you enter. They are not quotes or engineering, legal, safety or insurance advice, and results depend on your actual roof, materials, access and choices. Only a conversation and a roof inspection can confirm what a project needs, and we give you a written estimate before work begins.

How it works

Four quick steps.

  1. 01

    Enter the bids

Add up to three contractors and their total bid amounts.

  2. 02

    Rate each one

Score scope, layers and ventilation, decking and permits, communication and schedule from one to five.

  3. 03

    Set your weights

Decide how much price and each factor count.

  4. 04

    Compare

See the highest score and the gap to the lowest bid.

Tips

  • Ask every contractor for the same roof size, materials, underlayment, flashing, ventilation, decking terms and cleanup.
  • A very low bid may leave out layers, decking or haul-off.
  • Ask what happens if rotted decking is found.
